Latest Trip to London

One of my favourite things to do in London? Eat...with a cheeky drink on the side.

London's food scene never fails to impress me, promising streets upon streets of delicious new finds.

Flat Iron. One word. Steak. The beauty of this place is that it never disappoints and you always know exactly what you're getting. The concept is simple -choose your steak, either flat iron(£10) or the daily special. Next, choose your sides and a sauce, my favourite being the creamed spinach and their creamy homemade horseradish. Those of you who know London, will know that this is a total steal, with a steak, side and sauce setting you back around £15. Don't forget to try the chocolate mousse with sea salt before leaving.

Next up, Hoppers! This one is a brand new find, and also pretty darn new. Hopper is based around the amazing Sri Lankan crepe like, well, hoppers. Similar to Flat Iron, prices are great, and so is the food. We tried one 'kari' each, along with a hopper, dosa and some of the chutneys. The highlight of the whole dinner had to be the melt on the mouth bone marrow starter we feasted upon. Once again, this was around £15 depending on what you choose, with drinks and extras on top.

Both Flat Iron and Hoppers don't take reservations, so remember to turn up earlier than you wish to eat!

After a good 30 minute search around Carnaby, we eventually found an old underground station, now cocktail bar known as Cahoots. Greeted by 3 different actors along the way, we finally made our way in without a booking - not recommended ;) Once we sat down in the old underground station we were transported back to the 40's. The cocktail menu, presented on an old newspaper offers a wide variety of tastes, starting from £9. You've definitely got to visit this place at least once.
