Cupcake Sunday

Possibly the easiest way to satisfy that Sunday cake craving...

I made these tiny little cupcakes using The Hummingbird Bakery's simple vanilla cupcake recipe, and then added 1 teaspoon of ground ginger and one of cinnamon.

You can't really go wrong with any of the recipes from The Hummingbird Bakery, and lets face it, they were there first when the whole cupcake craze started.

The buttercream is also from a recipe in The Hummingbird Bakery's cookbook, for simple vanilla buttercream frosting. I rolled some of around in a bowl of crushed candy canes, and simply piped the rest.

It is so much more satisfying to bake yourself. It doesn't need to be expensive, tastes better and you know exactly what you're eating.

Even if you're pushed for time, this only takes 30 minutes, max!
