'Tis The Season

Christmas day canapés included salmon blinis, asian style meatballs, crispy dim sum, crispy pork crackling with pulled pork and caramelised onion sauce, baked camembert with crisp veg, and bitesize haggis!

It wouldn't be complete without the magnum of champagne.

Bloody Mary shot to start the day.

I squeezed lemon juice around the rim of the glass and swirled around in a mixture of coarse salt and ground peppercorns. I mix one part vodka to 3 parts tomato juice, a dash of tobacco and Worcestershire sauce and a squeeze of lemon juice. I cut a small slice of celery to garnish, but if you're feeling adventurous you could also add some crispy bacon and a small pickle!

Baking camembert is one of the easiest way to impress, by simply scoring a couple of time, piercing with rosemary and garlic and baking for 20 minutes. You can use bread and vegetables to dip in to the delicious warm cheese.

We didn't add any sugar into our cranberry sauce this year, instead we added a sliced orange and cooked until the cranberries were soft and the cranberries were bursting.
