The Best Sandwiches in Copenhagen

The beauty of these places is that they have something for everyone.
I first discovered SMAG last year, and it was one of the best discoveries I have ever made (in food terms). Some weeks I find myself passing by 3 or 4... whoops. The concept is simple, you choose either 3 or 4 salads, and a couple of toppings. I always go for the tuna, which is PHENOMENAL! Oh, and they also include a piece of rye bread or wholemeal bread on the side.

SMAG also do sandwiches, and they do them well. The menu switches up every now and then, but there is always something for everyone. They pack them full of good stuff, which isn't so bad for 48 DKK in Copenhagen.
The portion sizes are generous, and I find that the smaller size (52DKK) with 3 salads always leaves me satisfied.
Next up is Foodie, where Egyptian food is on the menu. They do main courses as well, but the main focus is on sandwiches. The flavours are innovative, including one with dates and feta. They use a homemade sourdough bread for all of their sandwiches, and also have a gluten free choice for an extra 10DKK.

Prices start at 45DKK and go anywhere up to 85DKK, with choices for both the vegans or the carnivores among us. Everything is made from scratch, and the pesto and hummus are out of this world.
Foodie have loyalty cards, so after visiting several times, you'll be rewarded with one sandwich for free.
Both Foodie and SMAG have several locations around the city.
