A Break From the City

Life in a city can become overwhelming, and taking a break every once in a while allows me to take a huge breath of fresh air.

This week I've taken off to Sweden and the island of Fyn in Denmark. One secluded in the forest, and the other with the most spectacular view of the sea.

In Sweden, we spent loads of time picking blueberries, raspberries and strawberries. The wild berries have so much more taste than those that you buy in the supermarket, so there's noneed to add any sugar when making delicious cakes like these.

Now in Denmark, we're picking small juicy plumbs, blackberries and gooseberries. Tonight we'll be making a gooseberry fool, the perfect balance between tangy, creamy flavours.
