Hallernes Smørrebrød

Another shoutout to the one and only.. Torvehallerne.

No trip to Copenhagen is complete without smørrebrød, Danish open sandwiches.

Hallernes smørrebrød is the place to be in Torvehallerne if you're looking for a simple, delicious lunch. They have Mikkeler beer on tap.. so you really can't get much better than that, can you?

Pictured below you'll see the pork with crispy crackling, prawns, roast beef, fish fillet and chicken salad.

mmm!

For one sandwich you'll pay anything from 55-95DKK, our total came to around 600DKK for 6 pieces and 4 beers, which does seem rather pricey. On the other hand, the quality is great, and if you want a light lunch one piece will be more than enough.

On my most recent visit, I noticed that if you make an order at least one day beforehand, you'll save 10%, which is great when the prices are a little on the higher end.
