What to Watch - TV Shows

I love the horror/thriller/sci-fi tv genre, which means that I am always on the lookout for something new. I might even go as far as to call myself a connoisseur.

Now, I know that there are plenty of shows missing here, like The Walking Dead, but the ones that I’ve chosen are a little different to your regular vampire packed, zombie filled show.

These have been my top picks over the past few years:

Black Mirror

There aren’t many episodes out, but they are all well worth watching if you’re in the mood to watch something that will have you begging for more.

Each episode follows a different story, all based around the darker sides of life. The show can feel a little twisted at time.. but you won’t regret watching this! Even better.. Netflix are working on a brand new season.

Humans

IMDB 8.1

Some might say that Humans has taken some of it’s inspiration from Black Mirror. Another great tv show that will have you hooked instantly.

So far there is only one season out, but there is reportedly a second one on the way this year.

Sense8

I can’t really say anything here without giving part of the storyline away, so you’re just going to have to watch it. Do it. Now!

American Horror Story

There are 5 seasons out so far, and the next one starts next month. Meanwhile the producers are torturing us with teasers that give nothing away. As the picture below would suggest.. you can sit tight for a scary ride. Unless you're a hardcore horror fan, I wouldn't watch this alone at night in the dark.

Season 3 and 4 were a little disappointing for me, but I would still recommend watching them. Fingers crossed for season 6!

Stranger Things

With one of the highest ratings here, you’ll have to give this one a watch.

I thought I’d add in a couple of shows that started out great and then just went all wrong.

Orphan Black

When this first came out I could not stop watching, until season 3 hit. They’re now on season 4, with another coming out next year. The storyline is great, and the main actress also plays her different roles incredibly.
